MoH detects polio virus in Lusaka


THE Ministry of Health has disclosed that it has detected the polio virus in Lusaka following routine environmental and clinical surveillance activities. Acting Minister of Health Cornelius Mweetwa, however, says there are no confirmed cases of the paralysis associated with the detection. Polio is a highly infectious viral disease that primarily affects young children and can result in permanent paralysis.
