FOR decades, whenever it was an election year, our politicians went on a rampage, dishing out lies through their mouths, press statements and manifestos about projects they were commissioning or initiating. In 2021, as we approached elections, we started hearing all sorts of promises and pledges meant to hoodwink the people. One such lie that kept resurfacing was the reopening of Mulungushi Textiles in Kabwe. This is the same factory our late President Edgar Lungu “opened” in 2015 during the presidential by-election.
