  • FAZ seeks CAF waiver over Confederation Cup slot


    THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has formally engaged the Confederation of African Football (CAF) over concerns surrounding Zambia’s second continental slot in the CAF Confederation Cup. The move follows growing debate among local clubs regarding which competition should produce Zambia’s representative in Africa’s second-tier club tournament, amid ongoing structural adjustments to domestic cup football. FAZ has requested a waiver of the CAF requirement that the winner of a national cup competition automatically represents the member association in the Confederation Cup.
