  • N/Western Province remains underrepresented in Parley, laments Mulusa


    SOLWEZI Central UPND MP Stafford Mulusa has told ECZ that even if seven constituencies were allocated to North-Western Province, it would still be unfair as the region has remained underrepresented compared to others. He cited Muchinga Province as one of the provinces that was “cleverly” created to increase the number of MPs, emphasising that the current delimitation exercise presents an opportunity to ensure that representation in Parliament is fair and equal across all provinces. Currently, Solwezi District has one existing constituency, Solwezi Central. The district has proposed the creation of two additional constituencies, namely Kifubwa and Solwezi, while Solwezi Central would be renamed Kapiji Constituency.
