Mwandi Ward gets first govt school since 1964, thanks to CDF


ESTABLISHED as a royal residence in 1902 by Lewanika during his journey to England, Mwandi later became a district in 2012 after separating from Sesheke District. Over the years, Mwandi, which means “plenty of fish” in Lozi, has greatly benefited from the work of the United Church of Zambia, which has provided education and health services to the area. However, for residents of Mwandi Ward, access to government education has remained a challenge for decades.
