Govt approves 24-hour economy, urges media to prep citizens for fuel price increase


CHIEF Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa has urged the media to help prepare citizens for the expected increase in fuel prices due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and the US. Meanwhile, Mweetwa says Cabinet has approved the extension of business and operating hours to run 24 hours for business houses, markets and bus stations. Further, Cabinet has approved The Education (Amendment) Bill, 2026 for publication and introduction in Parliament during the current sitting, aimed at providing for the right to free education.
