I’ve been in PF for 25 years, but HH’s development agenda won me over – Charity Banda
Patriotic Front faction National Chairlady Charity Banda says her decision to support President Hakainde Hichilema was influenced by what she described as the UPND government’s development agenda.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Lavushimanda, Muchinga Province yesterday, Ms. Banda said she had been a member of the Patriotic Front for 25 years, adding that some politicians who now claim to be long-time PF members only joined the party around the time of late President Michael Sata’s funeral.
“I’ve been in PF for 25 years. These other people only came during late President Michael Sata’s funeral,” she said.
Ms. Banda said she had since embraced President Hichilema’s vision for Zambia and urged voters to support the UPND in the 13 August General Election, saying continuity would allow ongoing development programmes to continue.
