Don’t vote for a song, vote for Hichilema, Nalumango urges Mpika electorate

VICE PRESIDENT Mutale Nalumango has advised the electorate in Mpika not to vote for a leader simply because they are their son, or relatives.

And the Vice President has asked God to forgive her if she tells lies to the electorate.

Speaking in Mpika at a campaign rally, Vice President Mutale Nalumango said the opposition is talking about what President Hakainde Hichilema has already fixed.

She has urged the electorate to not vote on tribal lines.

“Do not vote for a song, do not vote for a tribe. They are the ones who destroyed the wealth of our country. How will they restore the Country to what they say they want to reset it to? When did they have this wisdom?

“They want to come back after President Hakainde Hichilema has resolved the debt they left. What they destroyed, they are coming back to claim they can fix what their friend has already fixed,” Vice President Nalumango says.

She says President Hichilema is focused on developing Zambia.

“If I’ll lie, may God forgive me because I don’t live in a lie. What we want is to develop this Country. Even if he is your relative, deny him if he does not stand for what is right.

“Your lives will not change because your brother is an MP, your livelihood will not change because the one contesting us your son,” Nalumango says.

She says there are insurmountable reasons people should vote for the incumbent adding that time would not allow her to mention them all.

“Let’s choose a leader. Why will we choose Hakainde Hichilema? The reasons are many, the reasons are many. If there was time, I would mention them all but if I start now, I may not finish.
