The case of Andrew Banda remains Shameless
He has broken the law,
He has breached the public service regulations,
He has breached the established Code of Conduct.
It is up to Secretary to Cabinet, Patrick Kangwa to defend the impartiality of the civil service and not this open defiant and defilement of the public service.
About my role, I will find an opportune time to discuss it later..
But maybe it’s time we discussed this from a policy perspective.
Remember the 2016 Constitution provided that both the Solicitor and Attorney General must leave office if a new President emerges and their tenure were tied to the term of the President?
Bill 7 has since amended this clause.
It is known across the world especially in USA that when a new President comes into office. The new President has over 3,500 new jobs to appoint including new ambassadors.
But this doesn’t make these officers who are expected to be replaced campaign publicly for or against the presidential candidates.
Professionalism is miantained.
