US LAUNCHES EIGHTH STRAIGHT NIGHT OF STRIKES TO PUNISH IRAN FOR KILLING TWO SOLDIERS
The US military launched a new round of airstrikes against Iran on Saturday at 6pm ET. It is the eighth consecutive night of attacks.
The strikes are designed to degrade Iran’s ability to threaten shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and punish the Revolutionary Guard for killing two American service members in Jordan on Friday.
Two US soldiers were killed in Jordan. One remains missing. Four others were wounded but have been discharged. It is the first US military fatality from Iranian fire since March.
Iran says at least 50 Iranians have been killed and over 500 wounded in the strikes so far. Bridges, power plants, and a cancer hospital have been hit.
Iran has suspended its commitments under the Islamabad MoU. Iran’s Supreme Leader called Trump’s signature “worthless”.
Iran continues striking US allies across the Gulf. Kuwait’s oil facilities and power plants have been hit. Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan are also under attack.
