Iran Warns of ‘Maximum Response’ if Nuclear Sites Are Attacked
Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned that any U.S. attack on Iranian nuclear facilities would be regarded as a major escalation of the conflict.
In a statement, the command said that if such an attack occurs, Iran would launch what it described as a “maximum response” against U.S. interests and those of its allies across the region.
The statement follows heightened tensions over reports that additional U.S. military action against sites linked to Iran’s nuclear program is under consideration. The United States has not officially responded to the warning.
