POLICE in Mazabuka have summoned Gary Nkombo for interviews on Monday in connection with a recent incident in which he was attacked at Mazabuka Civic Centre. Nkombo, who is Mazabuka Central constituency independent candidate and immediate past area MP, was last week attacked at Mazabuka Civic Centre in full view of police by ruling party cadres led by Bilden Shaloba in an attempt to block him from filing his nomination. Nkombo then reported the matter to the police after filing his nomination, and later in the day Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo confirmed receiving the report of the incident, which subsequently led to the arrest of Shaloba and four others.
