OYDC athletes shine as MMA Zambia returns with 16 medals
OYDC Zambia has celebrated a historic medal haul by Mixed Martial Arts Zambia, as three athletes from the sports development centre led the charge with gold, silver, and bronze medals at an international competition in Luanda, Angola. Alex Bwalya claimed gold, Justin Mweene secured silver, and Zinaida Nanyinza brought home bronze, representing both KFC Komboni Fighters Club and Zambia on the continental stage. Their achievements were recognised during a special medal presentation ceremony at OYDC Zambia, where athletes, coaches, officials, and stakeholders gathered to celebrate the team’s success.
