Load shedding is over, ZESCO assures
ZESCO is assuring citizens that the country will not return to load shedding this year and beyond. This assurance comes after Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa recently indicated that current meteorological projections show a higher likelihood of below-average rainfall during the 2026/2027 rainy season. The country recently experienced prolonged hours of load shedding, which was attributed to what many described as the worst drought the country has ever experienced during the 2023/2024 rainy season.
