U.S hands over $5.8m peace training infrastructure to Zambia Army
THE US government has handed over newly built infrastructure worth $5.85 million to the Zambia Army’s Kenneth Kaunda Peace Training Centre (KKPTC) to enhance the country’s contribution to world peace. Speaking during the handover ceremony in Chongwe, Monday, Ministry of Defence Permanent Secretary Maambo Hamaundu said the donation included a 400-capacity dining hall, a multipurpose warehouse, outdoor classrooms and an engagement skills training centre. “Today is a very important day as I will be receiving facilities which have been constructed at a total cost of approximately $5.85 million.
