PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has told the United Nations (UN) that he is unhappy that debt restructuring took so long, causing the country to lose three years of his first term. He has also told the UN that Africa has awakened and will no longer continue exporting raw materials. Meanwhile, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Secretary-General Rebeca Grynspan says Zambia’s economic growth last year was above the average seen in the global south.
