ECZ’S FAIR DELIMITATION PROCESS: A LESSON FOR US ALL
I have been following the conversations around this ECZ delimitation, and honestly… some of the things we were telling people as opposition were just not adding up.
At some point abantu were even being told ati Southern Province will get like 25 constituencies out of the new ones.
25?
Based on what exactly?
Now the numbers are out and reality has landed.
Eastern – 9
Southern – 9
Central – 8
Copperbelt – 7
North Western – 7
Western – 7
Lusaka – 6
Muchinga – 6
Northern – 6
Luapula – 5
ECZ has not disappointed anyone. We disappointed ourselves by pushing figures we could not justify.
Delimitation is not politics where you just throw numbers. There is population, geography, and proper criteria behind it.
You can’t just wake up and allocate constituencies based on wishful thinking.
As opposition, we need to understand our role. Our job is to provide checks and balances. Not noise. Not misleading people with fake information and rumours.
If we want to be taken seriously, we must start acting like a serious alternative.
People are not fools. They can see when we are guessing and when we actually know what we are talking about.
Politics is not just about opposing everything. Sometimes you must have the courage to admit when a process has been handled fairly.
That is how you build credibility.
And without credibility, you have nothing.

Unfortunately, people like Mr. Emmanuel “Goebbels” Mwamba specialise in spreading half truths and outright lies. The rest of the opposition is not any better.
I would love to hear from the likes of Mr. Mwamba, Mr. Kalaba, Mr. Mundubile and Dr. M’membe. What are their thoughts on this matter?

And that childish opposition “leader” Njovu of is it democratic party or something like that, who opposes even his own conscience in his opposition to everything HH and UPND accomplish.
This is indeed a commendable job to ECZ.

The people of Zambia deserve all the Praise. He tested the waters, we kept him stuck to the wall, and the results are there.
That said He has extracted some regional benefits , as per his schemes, to accrue to his Base , and rewarded bootlickers like Sunday Chanda in Mpika, Robert Chabinga in Mafinga , his Veep Mutale Nalumango, and ofcourse his crony Peter Kapala in Chifunabuli .
And that Central Province West Region.. Look at the map of Central Province, and one can easily tell why the Western Central Province has been given the majority Seats in central Province..It’s all very clear!
He has suppressed Luapula Province, with just 5 seats despite the Population increase. It’s all very Clear.
He has succeeded in getting Southern Province to have the highest number of Parliamentary Seats in Zambia, equalling it with the Copperbelt Province, to shift the power base..the original idea. It’s all very clear.
Without the people’s Voice, it could have been worse.
To the people with big Constituencies like CHILUBI , which was even in the original Delimitation report, persevere, the injustice will be reversed soon.
As the dust settles, reason will slowly come back to those who get excited easily, and they will be able to look critically at the Delimitated 70 Constituencies…It’s all very Clear. But it could have been worse.

Many Zambians are too lazy to think, let alone analyze.
Critically analyze the Delimitation of the 70 Constituencies. Look at the border areas to southern and Western Province…A pattern emerges. This is something which only an analytical mind can see. Instead of delimiting more of Southern Province or Western Province, do it subtly in border areas, with the same demographics, and achieve the same result.
Look at Central Province.
Mumbwa West borders Nkeyema and Luampa in western Province. It has a new Constituency.
Shibuyunji District, a very small district, borders Mazabuka in Southern Province. It now has 2 Constituencies. ( The district has a population of 91,616 and an area of 1,731 square km. Compare it with CHILUBI District with a population of 114,011 and a size of 5, 170 square Km – 5 times the size of Shibuyunji..It only has 1 Constituency.Can the Praise Imbecile Musonda give me the logic for this ? )
The same pattern continues in Kafue East, Keembe West , Mwomboshi , Kapiri Mposhi West, Chongwe West etc.
There’s something methodical about this Delimitation!

.Delimit border areas to the core Areas.

THINK AND ANALYZE.
