HE BROKE NO LAW, HARMED NO ONE, YET SOUTH AFRICANS SURROUNDED AND HUMILIATED HIM. GHANA SAID ENOUGH

A Ghanaian man named Emmanuel Asamoah was surrounded, harassed, and humiliated on South African soil by a xenophobic vigilante group who falsely accused him of being an illegal immigrant. South African authorities confirmed he had every right to be there.

He broke no law. He harmed no one.

President John Mahama’s government did not wait. Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister personally called Emmanuel directly, and the government announced it will fly him out and cover every cost of his relocation and resettlement. Not a press statement. Not a condemnation. Action.

This is the message President Mahama sent to the world: No Ghanaian will be abandoned in harm’s way.

Now the question is on President Cyril Ramaphosa’s desk. Ghana sheltered the ANC during apartheid.

Ghana issued passports to stateless South Africans. Ghanaians bled in the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale for South Africa’s freedom. This is how Africa repays Africa?

The perpetrators must face the law.

The silence of African leaders on xenophobia is becoming louder than the attacks themselves.

Africa Angle
This is bigger than one man.

Across South Africa, foreign Africans are being hunted, looted, and driven out. Nigeria has already warned its citizens to shut down businesses.

If African governments do not protect Africans on African soil, who will?

What should other African governments do to protect their citizens abroad? Drop your thoughts below.

African hype media
SAs are a messed society, fighting wrong people, low intellect. They’ll burn a small kiosk owned by a fellow African and complain about the white monopoly, make up your minds, which is which, stay in one road.
And State inaction is deafening!
Black on black violence is a South African speciality.
Once they have driven out the so called African foreigners, they will turn inward on one another. The Zulus will drive the Xhosas out of KZN and those from Limpopo will be driven out of Gauteng. That is how bigotry works. The amazing thing is they are not bothered by the Whites or Chinese. The only threat they see is fellow Africans. What a people!
During the apartheid era, there was a lot of black on black violence involving the Zulus (Inkhata Freedom Party) and ANC. The Zulus were armed by the apartheid regime to fight the ANC. It took the wisdom of Mr. Mandela to restore order.
So this kind of behaviour is not new to South Africa. They have the memory of a goldfish. They have forgotten the immense sacrifice that countries like Nigeria, Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Mozambique (Frontline States) made to end the apartheid regime. And the South African government seems to be doing nothing to educate their ignorant citizens. Only the EFF’s Julius Malema understands where South Africa is coming from.
These South Africans are a very ungrateful, backward and sadistic bunch who don’t even understand that South Africa cannot stand without its fellow African countries. It’s a typical, pitiful case of the weak fighting the weak over problems created by the strong.
