Mundubile Urges HH To Address The Nation Over Secret Postmortem On ECL’s Body

Tonse Alliance leader Hon Brian Mundubile has condemned President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND administration for what he described as the “desecration” of the remains of Zambia’s late 6th Republican President,w.
Addressing the media on Friday, Mundubile expressed “outrage and deep concern” over reports that a postmortem was conducted without the full knowledge, consent, or participation of the late President’s family.
“Where is the morality in cutting and ripping the body of the late President in such a secret and suspicious manner”
In the company of alliance partners, Mundubile said the manner in which the matter has been handled raises serious questions about transparency, legality, and respect for the dignity of the deceased.
He argued that any legitimate process involving a former Head of State should have been conducted openly and with the involvement of the family.
“What kind of process excludes the family? What kind of investigation operates in secrecy when it concerns something as sacred as the body of the deceased?” the statement attributed to the Tonse leadership read.
The PF Mporokoso MP added that the exclusion of the family pointed to deeper concerns, insisting that if the process had been lawful and transparent, the bereaved family would have been fully engaged.
The Tonse leader who leads over 30 opposition and Civil Society organisations has since called on President Hichilema to urgently address the nation and provide clear explanations on the circumstances surrounding the handling of the late President’s remains.
“Our traditions do not permit this. Our culture does not accept this. What has happened is an abomination,” he emphasised.
The Tonse President and 2026 Presidential Candidate also criticised what he described as attempts by ruling party officials to deflect attention through junior spokes people, calling it an “insult to the intelligence of Zambians” and disrespectful to the legacy of the late President.
Mundubile further appealed for explanations from both Zambian and South African authorities on who authorized the procedure, under what legal framework it was conducted, and why the family was allegedly excluded.

Who are you to command the presidnet to address the nation? On what topic? Malukula and family have taken the case back to court so what has the president got to comment?
Are you not the same people saying the President must stay away from the funeral?
Was it the president who ordered the South African Police and Pathologists to conduct a forensic autopsy?

The level of ignorance of our opposition leaders is appalling.
Is this process happening now a surprise to them? When their approved representatives went about blurbing on every network available in SA regarding an alleged poisoning story.
Did it not occur to them that they were accusing the government of SA of being an accomplice of covering up on a crime. Especially that the country formally received the former Head of State.
To make it worse all these accusations where done on their own national TV stations. Answers need to be given regarding these accusations. What else should they do but get to the bottom of this criminal case invoked by careless utterances.
Now, you ask why the right process has been taken? This is incompetence of it’s highest kind.
What common sense is there in asking a sitting President to ask a legit government of another independent country to stop an investigation of a possible homicide. This is as stupid as it gets. First you cry loud on every Net- Work station be it TV/ Radio of foul play. The moment your accusation is taken seriously and given attention, you want them to stop the investigations. Why did your team start this thing in the first place. Did you think it would be forgotten about? No…guys… you made the bed have the decency to lay in it. Stop this silly jumping up and down.
Go to SA yourselves and ask them who gave them this permission. They are ready to answer you will legal documentation. Go back on the same TV and Radio stations you are familiar with and cry like you did about the poisioning.
Unbelievably after all that thorough processes in court you deliberately fail to make your submissions on time.
And once the proper procedure is adhered to and results in an invalid case. You jump up as if from a deep self induced sleep and cry unfairness. This is now becoming very stupid. Doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.
Any way this level of reasoning is an indication a serious lack of reasoning capacity to handle pressing matters maturely and professionally. In short lacking good leadership quality.
Well said. This why I say, that the said opposition are just detractors. People who gp around making noise and dont listen nor realise how foolish they look. Here they are? They forget that its Nakachinda and his outbursts that instigated the “poison statement.” And this was done in South Africa. Not Zambia. And the South African Police are following their laws. Who Makebi thinks the court order that he placed is limitless. Laws dont work that. So ba @Emperor without clothes…here you are. You are now walking naked. Being a rebel without a cause. Just mare hate filled out bursts that you make everyday and think the law and Zambia is on your side.
I had respect for Mundubile to the extent of saying he could make a better successor of HH than all the goons claiming to be president of this or that and making noise around every tabloid in Lusaka.
But this is a galactic disaster. This one really takes the cake. I even wonder if he got his law degree at UNZA. Looks like he enrolled in Matero.
How does HH address the nation on an issue that does not affect Zambia??? They, through gunyu masaka claimed Lungu was poisoned. Zayelo even claimed to have spoken with him, even fugitive America claimed he was in good spirits.
Then gunyu, who seldom let’s a good meal pass without him testing it, came and stirred the hornet’s nest with the poisoning story.
It not only embarrassed SA but also gave the impression they were complicit in his Zimbabwean shenanigans.
Now, those are not like us here. They take matters very seriously. So they have set sail with their legal procedure to establish authenticity of gunyu’s story.
We will see were it goes. Gor now we just watch and enjoy the matinee show.
Opposition has no campaign message…the levels of desperation for any attention is sad. When Malukula filed court documents it was South Africa is not like Zambia there the 3 wings of government operate independently….not that the South African Police has acted independently HH should address the nation….why are you so scared of the autopsy results? People will be arrested for false claims once results are our. Plus most of the opposition know that their cases are building in court. Malukula you will never have access to ECL’s money, boma is monitoring….accessing a deceased person’s funds needs administrator appointment and without death certificate and burial permit you cant get administratorship. Plus with administratorship all assets have to be declared. Boma is just waiting….Malukula is in a tight corner after elections
