Hitmaker Dalisoul, widely known as Mwana Wamu Komboni, has been arrested following a late-night road traffic accident involving a Zambia Police motorbike in Lusaka.
According to an official statement released by the Zambia Police Service, the incident occurred on Monday, April 27, 2026, around 23:00 hours along Mosi-oa-Tunya Road, opposite Puma Filling Station.
The accident involved a police motorbike ridden by Inspector Kwibisa Mbuye, who sustained slight injuries and was immediately rushed to Maina Soko Military Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. The police motorbike reportedly suffered extensive damage to its front end.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the accident happened after the driver of a Nissan Mitsuoka allegedly cut in front of the oncoming police motorbike, resulting in a collision.
The driver, identified as Madalitso Phiri — confirmed to be Dalisoul — escaped unhurt but has since been arrested and formally charged with multiple offences. These include dangerous driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to produce a road licence, lack of a fitness certificate, and operating a vehicle without third-party insurance.
Police have since impounded the vehicle, which is expected to undergo further examination as part of ongoing investigations. Authorities have also confirmed that the artist is expected to appear in court soon.
The development has quickly sent shockwaves across social media, with fans reacting to the news involving one of Zambia’s most recognizable voices from the streets.
