We’re confident of clinching IMF successor programme after polls – Nkulukusa

SECRETARY to the Treasury Felix Nkulukusa says he is confident that whichever government comes into power after the elections will clinch an IMF successor programme, given the economic stability the country has recorded thus far. In January this year, government announced that it would not proceed with the one-year Extended Credit Facility under the IMF programme but would instead engage them on another successor programme. Recently, an IMF delegation was in the country to discuss issues pertaining to the successor programme.
