SEAN TEMBO PHONES DONALD TRUMP TO QUICKLY INTERVENE OVER HIS PARTY RECORDS IN ZAMBIA
Patriots for Economic Progress (PeP) president Sean Tembo says he has written to United States President Donald Trump seeking intervention in a dispute involving his party’s registration records.
Tembo alleges that PeP’s records were secretly altered and changed from a political party to a church organisation, a move he says has affected the party’s ability to participate in this year’s general elections.
According to Tembo, the matter has prevented the party from filing nomination papers and has effectively disrupted its political activities in Zambia.
Zambian Post has seen a statement issued this morning, Tembo said he was appealing to President Trump to engage President Hakainde Hichilema over the matter.
“This morning, we wrote to the President of the United States of America, Mr Donald J. Trump, seeking his intervention, so that he can talk to his brother, President Hakainde Hichilema to restore our party records and allow us to file in our nominations and participate in this year’s general elections,” Tembo said.
He added that the party remains hopeful that the issue will be resolved.

The Registrar of Societies must be held fully accountable for this.
How can documents be altered willy nilly and we accept that as normal?
As for Mr. Tembo writing to Mr. Trump, he is just wasting his time. Mr. Trump does not even know where Zambia is and he has no interest in sh!thole countries like Zed.
But then if he gets to know that Zambia has strategic minerals, he just might be persuaded to invade Zambia under the guise of restoring Mr. Tembo’s democratic rights. That would give him easy access to the minerals.
HACKING IS REAL.
The Registrar of Societies should acknowledge that they were hacked. That doesnt necessarily mean, that Registrar of Societies was active in making the changes, but shows there was a security breach WHICH need to be corrected.
They need to take responsibility as they are custodian of the records.
Its only that in Zambia, everything is Political. In developed countries, this would have been a bipartisan case, where all Parties would have supported or demanded Registrar of Societies, to institute investigation or find out who the hackers were.
The fact that changes were done by someone seated in a Cafe, is CLEAR EVIDENCE of HACKING. Unfortunately, Mr. Tembo can not demand records to be returned to where they were WITHOUT, thorough investigations.
And the fact that, he wants HH to intervene, is already a political step, where he is suspecting UPND to be behind the change in the records.
IT doesnt HELP appealing to the people you refer to as Imperialists…..so they are Imperialist when HH is dealing with them and they are your RUN TO when you have issues.
Ba General, at the point the anomaly was detected, the Registrar should have taken appropriate steps to restore the status to its original form. Is there no document vetting system at the Registrar’s office? Who is authorised to make changes for the organisation?
Mr. Tembo and his president should have been allowed to file their nomination papers. If the changes could be effected from a cafe, why wasn’t Mr. Tembo and his group allowed to make changes when they were physically at the Registrar’s office? What is more authentic, physical presence or online?
You can change anything,on line as long as you have password and forward necessary documents and attach forged signatures.with pacra,zra,registrar of societies.Let these guys put their houses inorder.
Double standards, Mr. Tembo. When someone else does the same thing, they are immediately labelled “puppets of the West.” Besides, we are constantly told that Africa must solve its own problems instead of running to the West whenever challenges arise.
I believe DJT’s arrogance is encouraged by this kind of thinking. Wait until he turns against your own country, then you will truly understand the kind of person you are dealing with. Whatever happened to SADC and the African Union?

he wants HH to break the law and interfere in a matter he has no power or authority to deal with. On the one hand you accuse HH of being a dictator but on the other hand you want him to be a dictator because it suits you.
