Lsk lawyer asks court to block FIC from inspecting clients’ files
LUSAKA lawyer Milner Katolo has applied for leave to commence judicial review proceedings against the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) over a scheduled Anti-Money Laundering onsite inspection of his clients’ files. Katolo says the FIC is demanding to carry out an extensive documentation inspection, including information relating to his clients, client files, client database and other related information. The lawyer, who has cited the FIC and the Attorney General as respondents, wants an order of certiorari to quash the FIC’s decision dated April 30, 2026, to conduct a full-scope onsite Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Terrorism and Proliferation Financing (AML/CTPF) inspection of him and clients’ files and information.
