Zambia, Germany launch project to protect Kafue River
GIZ Zambia Water and Energy Cluster Coordinator Anke Peine-Ellis says the Zambian and German governments are working on launching a six million euro water project aimed at providing water security for the Kafue River. Meanwhile, the German Embassy says a new commitment of 26.5 million euros is foreseen for a water and sanitation programme in 2026, adding that the programme’s second phase aims to increase access to water.
