POLICE in Chikankata have arrested a man suspected of murdering a 71-year-old man and allegedly stuffing his body into two 50 kg sacks before dumping it in a pit latrine. The suspect, identified as Chemist Kanyama, 41, was apprehended after being found hiding under the deceased’s bed. Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Lovemore Hankalu. “The Zambia Police Service in Chikankata District received a report of murder, which was made at Malabo Police Post on June 9 at 11:00 hours.
