Govt signs K1.7bn contract to rehabilitate Mutanda-Mwinilunga road
GOVERNMENT has signed a contract with Messrs. Arab Contractors O.A.O Ltd for the rehabilitation of the Mutanda to Mwinilunga road at a cost of K1.7 billion. The rehabilitation of the 214-kilometre road will be undertaken in a joint venture with Palmetto Trading Ltd under a contract period of 24 months. Speaking during the signing ceremony, Monday, Road Development Agency (RDA) Board Chairman Eng Eugene Haazale said once completed, the road would unlock new economic opportunities for local farmers and businesses. “Today marks the beginning of a transformative journey for North-Western Province and Mwinilunga District to be specific.
