HH Should Promise To Peacefully Hand Over If He Loses -Sishuwa Sishuwa

Historian and political commentator Dr. Sishuwa Sishuwa has called on President Hakainde Hichilema to publicly commit to accepting the outcome of the August 13 General Election if he is defeated.

Speaking during an interview, Dr. Sishuwa said such a declaration would demonstrate leadership and help build public confidence in Zambia’s democratic process

Dr. Sishuwa also urged President Hichilema to assure Zambians that the military would not be used to keep him in office if he were to lose the election.

He further expressed concerns about public confidence in the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ), particularly its top leadership, saying the Commission must conduct itself in a manner that inspires trust among all stakeholders.

While raising reservations about the Commission’s leadership, Dr. Sishuwa said he still had confidence in many of the ECZ’s career staff, describing them as professionals capable of conducting a credible election..

He warned that if the electoral process is perceived to be biased, it could undermine public confidence in the outcome and increase political tensions.

Dr. Sishuwa said the legitimacy of the August 13 polls will depend not only on whether they are conducted fairly, but also on whether Zambians broadly perceive the process to be free, transparent and impartial.

HH will actually win the election.Your people are busy decampaigning themselves. You can imagine they are saying they will not care about reserves in the bank. He would just pay people using the same money, all suppliers and farmers will get paid out of the reserves. The country will remain with nothing.Back to looting again? But your people you are waiting for in power “no bwino bwino”. They will end up in huge debt again, “old habits die hard” muntu wa ka musango kake si aleka.Baza kongola na futi aba.
There is no need for the President to make any promises in relation to the election results. I believe he is a man of integrity and among the candidates, he towers above them all in terms of upholding law and order and personal discipline. For me his integrity is the number one reason I voted for him. PF tried to nail him on numerous occasions but failed. They could find nothing that would stick. That is no mean achievement considering how vicious PF were.
So Dr. Sishuwa, your fears have no basis.
HH is going no where shishuwa. These guys are chancers who still
still have the mind of acquiring wealthy through taxpayers money when everyone Zambian is entitled to the national cake
Who ever will lose should concede defeat,in this vain the opposition political parties are not exempted.
with sishuwa the only true, fair and transparent elections will be if tonse alliance wins, epela
A public declaration has no legal basis. It is the constitution which compels the loser to hand over. Where do you get use of the military from? Be sober and expect and accept all possible outcomes.
Deep down their hearts, Sishuwa, Mundubile and Makebi know very well that that can’t defeat HH. That language of preparing to quit and handover cannot scare anyone. Lungu who was in power said the same, handing power to himself but he lost with a big margin of more than one million votes. Zambians still love HH, he has done a lot for them in the last five years. They want more CDF, more jobs, more foreign reserves, more roads, more hospitals, more bridges, stable Kwacha, meal allowance, free education, school feeding programme, construction of Chiefs Palaces phase 3, the list is endless. So Mundubile akambila pesa? He will just ruin the economy again, these people have no vision just like their late PF party president. Imagine, someone aspiring to be the president, he doesn’t know what foreign reserves are or their importance the economy, he doesn’t know what GDP is, what kind of a president will he be? He is not just as good as a blind? We are better off with our visionary Bally.
