Harry Kalaba Says His Government Will Reduce CDF, Describes Current K40 Million Allocation as a “Hoax”

Citizen First (CF) president says his government would reduce the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), describing the current K40 million allocation by the government as a “hoax.”
Speaking during a radio program in Mongu few days ago, Kalaba argued that if the CDF had genuinely been increased to K40 million per constituency, residents would already be seeing tangible development projects in their communities.
“There is no visible development to justify claims that the CDF has been increased to K40 million,” Kalaba said. “If that money was truly reaching the constituencies, the people of Mongu would be able to point to meaningful projects.”
Kalaba further said a Citizen First government would reform the empowerment programme by ensuring that funds meant for marketers are paid directly to the intended beneficiaries, rather than passing through intermediaries.
He said the proposed changes would improve transparency, accountability, and ensure that public resources directly benefit ordinary citizens.

Re-centralisation policy. Take the money back to Lusaka so that they can steal alone.
You cannot complete with a rich man because he does not steal from poor people. You as a poor guy, like Kalaba, will steal to enjoy a high life.
So it’s no surprise he can call money that is building school and hospitals, paving roads, buying graders etc as a hoax. He does not even know the price of a toilet because he has built none!!!!
