HH MUST EXPLAIN WHY HE’S IMPORTING ‘PF CORRUPTION ’ INTO UPND – MAKEBI
MAKEBI Zulu is wondering why President Hakainde Hichilema is only branding him and Brian Mundubile as PF when he is the one who is in an alliance with two factions of the former ruling party.
Zulu has further challenged President Hichilema to explain to Zambians why he is working with “ng’wena ni ng’wena” and “importing corruption” into the UPND by working with members of the former ruling party.
During his campaign rallies, the Head of State has consistently been telling voters not to vote for Mundubile and Zulu, saying the former PF leaders have not changed and describing them as ng’wena ni ng’wena.
On the other hand, two PF faction leaders, Miles Sampa and Robert Chabinga, officially joined the UPND Alliance and are campaigning for President Hichilema ahead of the August polls.
Asked to comment on the President’s remarks in an interview, the NRPUP running mate wondered why the UPND had adopted former PF MPs in most constituencies if the party was bad.
“You see, the President had a feast, he had a party receiving the PF, Miles Sampa, and saying they’re in an alliance with the PF. That is what he has on his end. Why would he accept to work together with Miles Sampa? Why would he be adopting candidates who were in PF in most of the constituencies and still tell people that this is where the problem is? Why is it me and Brian Mundubile only who are PF and not those that he has accepted as PF? He’s working with Chabinga, he’s working with all those other people,” said Zulu
“He is the one that should be explaining to the people why he’s importing corruption, why he’s importing all those cadres that he says were bad. He says ng’wena ni ng’wena, but he has accepted ng’wena in his party. So on our part, we will concentrate on lifting, or at least uplifting the standards of living for our people. We will not engage in those petty politics”.

In Politics, there no permanent friends or enemies, besides that you don’t reject those who come to join you from other parties. Even in PF , you have worked and are still working with a lot people from other parties including UPND. Sakwiba Sikota, is one of them. You also worked with Given Lubinda, Richwell Siamunene, Greyford Monde, Daniel Munkombwe and ECL himself. There are also a lot of people in your Alliance whose origin is MMD like Dan Pule if I am not mistaken. Even you, you can leave Tonse today and decide to join UPND, they will accept you. That’s how politics are. Charles Milupi, Judith Kabemba, Felix Mutati, Nevers Mumba are all from other parties but are working well with UPND. So the question of importing people from PF to UPND does not hold any water.
