KALABA TOO PRINCIPLED TO BE BOUGHT BY UPND OR ANY ENTITY – BANGWE
Citizens First (CF) party Serenje’s Nkundalila Parliamentary Candidate Bangwe Naviley Chisenga says the party is about to be birthed and that is why others are talking about it so that it is pushed aside.
Bangwe stated that if the Patriotic Front had not been resilient for ten years they would not have won.
He added that if the United Party for National Development had not been resilient for twenty years they would not have ruled.
Bangwe observed that birth comes with a lot of pain, with some mothers dying while others struggle until a baby is born.
He noted that Citizens First has no councillor or Member of Parliament but this year it will have both.
Bangwe advanced that only Citizens First is being tormented, attacked, or seen to be on the way, not other parties.
He said that people will run away which is normal as they exercise their democratic right.
Bangwe affirmed that suggesting Kalaba sold the party at K1.2 million to UPND is mockery because that amount is not enough to sway a principled man.
He emphasised that rallies do not win elections, pointing out that if they did Bobi Wine of Uganda and the late Raila Odinga would have ruled long ago.
Bangwe stated that Citizens First will continue with organic support until it is birthed.
He added that to the tormentors, time will tell because Citizens First will make sense to them one day.
Bangwe observed that resilience remains the foundation of the party’s journey and its eventual emergence.
He noted that CF President Harry Kalaba resigned from a position of influence and cannot be enticed for a similar position because his vision is far beyond immediate political gain.
