Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance presidential candidate Brian Mundubile has urged civil servants not to take part in any unlawful activities during the 13 August General Election, including any attempts to manipulate the electoral process.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Chongwe yesterday, Mr. Mundubile appealed to public officers to remain professional and act within the law.
“Don’t accept to participate in rigging the elections. You’ve got your careers and families to look after,” he said..
Mr. Mundubile urged civil servants to reject what he described as unlawful instructions, saying they should not be intimidated into acting outside the law.
“They’ll come and scare you, but don’t be scared. Reject their instructions. There’s nothing they can do,” he told supporters.
He maintained that public officers have a duty to uphold the Constitution and serve the interests of the Zambian people.
