YEMEN’S HOUTHI LEADER ISSUES FINAL WARNING TO SAUDI ARABIA, THREATENS STRIKES ON OIL AND CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

YEMEN’S HOUTHI LEADER ISSUES FINAL WARNING TO SAUDI ARABIA, THREATENS STRIKES ON OIL AND CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

The leader of Yemen’s Houthi movement has issued a strong warning to Saudi Arabia, threatening retaliatory attacks against the Kingdom’s oil facilities and strategic infrastructure if Riyadh continues or escalates military operations against Yemen.

In a televised statement, the Houthi leader accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out attacks on Yemen without justification and warned that any further escalation would face a direct response.

“They attacked Sana’a Airport in broad daylight without any justification, and then they expect us not to respond,” he said.

He warned that future Saudi strikes on Yemeni targets would be met with attacks on Saudi cities and strategic locations.

“If you strike Sana’a, we will strike Riyadh. If you attack a port, we will attack your ports. If you attempt to besiege us, we will besiege you,” he declared

The Houthi leader also accused Saudi Arabia of attempting to isolate Yemen economically and create humanitarian suffering, saying:

“Why do you want to isolate us and starve us? We will no longer tolerate your aggression, and we will not accept it anymore.”

The warning comes amid heightened regional tensions, with the Houthis repeatedly threatening to target Saudi and Gulf infrastructure in response to military actions against Yemen.

Saudi Arabia has previously faced Houthi attacks targeting oil facilities, airports, and other strategic sites, including the 2019 attacks on Saudi Aramco facilities that temporarily disrupted a significant portion of the Kingdom’s oil production.

The latest statement raises concerns over a potential escalation between the Iran-aligned Houthi movement and Saudi Arabia, which has sought to reduce direct military involvement in Yemen while pursuing diplomatic efforts to end the long-running conflict.
