POLICE in Monze have detained a 20 year-old man for allegedly raping his 85 year-old grandmother. Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo confirmed the incident which occurred on July 17 around 03:00 hours at Nkaba Village under Chief Mwanza. “The Zambia Police Service in Monze District is investigating a case of rape involving an 85-year-old woman. The matter was reported at Monze Central Police Station on July 17 at 11:10 hours by the victim’s 44-year-old daughter of the same village.
