PF ONLY EMPLOYED 7,000 TEACHERS IN 10 YEARS.
A lively debate unfolded on Capital FM after a supporter of the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance was challenged over claims that the Patriotic Front (PF) employed more teachers during its 10 years in office than the current UPND administration.
Speaking confidently during the live programme on Capital FM, the supporter of Brian Mundubile argued that “numbers do not lie” and insisted that official records showed the PF recruited more teachers than the UPND
However, the presenter responded by citing government employment figures, stating that the UPND has so far recruited over 12,000 teachers as part of a broader exercise that has seen more than 46,000 public workers employed since taking office.
The Presenter showed that UPND has employed more civil servants in 5 years compared to PF.
“Records show that PF only employed 7,000 teachers while UPND has employed more than 12,000 teachers in five years. Total employment record for PF in 10 years is 23,000 while UPND stands at 45,000 in five years”
The Brian Mundubile supporter was quick to shift the narrative and accused the reporter of being a UPND Project.
After the figures were presented on air, the supporter shifted his argument, saying that a future government under Brian Mundubile would create even more jobs if elected than what UPND had created.
