A Norway fan at the World Cup has gone viral for refusing to take part in the Viking Row after games because it is “factually wrong”.

Emil Lappen was called out by commentators on Norwegian TV for being the only person in the crowd not taking part, and he has now gone on TV to explain why, calling the row stupid and historically inaccurate.

🗣️ “First of all, I find it really stupid and annoying.
“It copies a lot of what Iceland were doing with the ‘Thunderclap’ and it’s factually wrong. Vikings didn’t row; they sailed over the Atlantic!

😂 “Norway can win and do whatever they want; I will not row.”
