IRGC Reaffirms Indefinite Closure of Strait of Hormuz
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reaffirmed that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed indefinitely, according to a statement carried by Iranian state media.
The IRGC said the decision is a response to what it described as U.S. interference in Iran’s maritime control and shipping operations in the Gulf.
The announcement comes as tensions between Iran and the United States continue to escalate, with the Strait of Hormuz remaining at the center of regional security concerns and raising fears of disruptions to global energy supplies and international shipping.
