THE Chelstone Local Court has fined a Foxdale man K6,600 for insulting a 62-year-old man, saying that young people these days have lost respect for elders and are bringing curses upon themselves through such behaviour. The court heard that Deo Tugume insulted Lewis Phiri after Phiri advised him to move his vehicle, which was parked at the entrance of Phiri’s shop and blocking the passage. This is a matter in which Lewis Phiri, 62, of Mtendere East, has dragged Deo Tugume, 30, of Foxdale, to court, seeking compensation for insults on allegations that Deo insulted him without any reason.
