  • FAZ staff celebrate first salary increase in nine years


    WORKERS at Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) are celebrating improved conditions of service following a long-awaited salary increment, the first in nearly a decade. The adjustment comes after the FAZ Executive Committee recently passed a resolution to increase salaries for secretariat staff, a move aimed at improving staff welfare and boosting productivity within the association. FAZ President Keith Mweemba said the decision to raise workers’ wages was intended to motivate employees and enhance productivity across the organisation. Mweemba explained that upon assuming office, he was deeply concerned after discovering that some of the lowest-paid workers were earning as little as K1,500.
