Don’t underestimate how undemocratic UPND is – Aka

Veteran politician Akashambatwa Mbekusita Lewanika says nobody should underestimate how undemocratic the UPND regime is.
In an interview with Daily Revelation on Saturday, regarding the decision by the Zambia Police to stop the Tonse Pamodzi alliance presidential candidate Brian Mundubile from holding his rally in Chipata over the weekend, Lewanika said he was on record telling people how undemocratic the UPND government was.
However, Lewanika said by being undemocratic they were not going to win the August 13 elections, citing UNIP’s defeat in 1991 and PF in 2021.

Continue hallucinating boy. I have never seen a Prince like you who had failed everywhere he went. You failed in government, private sector and politics in general. So how does democracy look like to you? Doesn’t it still look the same way it looked the time you were in government? If anything, democracy has greatly improved many times now more than it was during your time.
It’s the only thing Akashambatwa Mbikusita-Lewanika does, that is, imagining, dreaming and fantasising utopia which he has failed to achieve in his entire life. In Barotseland, he dreams of a prosperous place under traditional leadership and a loyal local population. Yet when he was assigned an actual traditional leadership role in Kaoma to begin the process of bringing about a prosperous Barotseland, he didn’t last in the position. There’s a big gap between Aka’s thinking and what he does.
