Shoprite pump in K60,000 into Kaizer Kalambo academy
IN a sentimental show of support for grassroots sport, Zambia’s giant chain store, Shoprite has handed over sports equipment worth K50,000 to Kaizer Kalambo academy, with an additional K10,000 cash to be used in the academy’s upcoming football tournament on Sunday. Recently, Shoprite partnered with the Zambia Institute of Sport (ZIS) to sponsor 50 trainee football coaches. Kaiser Kalambo junior, son to Zambian footballing legend, Kaiser Kalambo senior, had been adopted and graduated from the Coaching B Programme. Kaiser Junior is running a youth sports academy in Macha District, Southern Province and after his completion of the coaching programme, Shoprite pledged to support his sports academy in recognition of his efforts and the importance of sports academies in building up…
