Ukraine says all Russian ballistic missiles penetrated air defenses during latest attack
Ukraine’s Air Force released new figures from Russia’s latest large-scale strike, reporting that Moscow launched 68 missiles and 351 drones against the country.
According to the military, Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 326 drones and 37 cruise missiles. However, officials said all 29 ballistic and hypersonic missiles, including Iskander-M and Zircon missiles, reached their intended targets, resulting in a 100% penetration rate for that category of weapons.
The reported strike caused extensive damage to more than 15 residential buildings. Ukrainian officials have repeatedly warned that shortages of interceptor missiles, including those used by Patriot air defense systems, are reducing the country’s ability to counter advanced ballistic missile threats.
