Kawana clarifies Kangwa’s remarks: $1.5m US health grant not yet signed
MINISTRY of Information Permanent Secretary Thabo Kawana has clarified that government is yet to sign the $1.5 million health deal from the United States. Last Thursday, during the United States’ 250th anniversary celebration at the Chief of Mission Residence in Lusaka, Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa said the Zambian government appreciated the recent support by the US worth $1.5 billion, a five-year grant covering the period April 2026 to 2030.
