C-RAM Reportedly Intercepts Iranian Drone Over U.S. Consulate in Erbil
Reports indicate that a U.S. C-RAM (Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar) air defense system intercepted an Iranian one-way attack drone over the U.S. Consulate in Erbil, in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region.
According to the reports, the drone was engaged before it could reach the diplomatic compound.
The reported interception has not been independently verified, and U.S. officials have not yet issued an official statement.
