Prince Akashambatwa Mbikusita-Lewanika has criticised President Hakainde Hichilema, accusing him of wronging the people of Barotseland and failing to apologise.

Speaking while endorsing the presidential ticket of Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu in Kasama yesterday, Prince Akashambatwa alleged that President Hichilema has not shown the humility needed to address concerns raised in Western Province.

“We have a President in Zambia who has wronged Barotseland and is too proud to apologise, and too cowardly to go to Barotseland and say he is sorry,” Prince Akashambatwa said.

He made the remarks as he threw his support behind the Mundubile–Makebi ticket ahead of the August 13 General Election.
And exactly how has the President wronged you, not Barotseland because you are not the spokesperson of BRE. The Ngambela is the official mouthpiece of the Litunga.
As far as I can remember, every President from KK to Lungu has wronged Barotseland. Mr. Mundubike will not be any different especially given the company he keeps. His Finance chairman, Mr. Kafwaya, has already given an indication of what he thinks of Barotseland.
So Dr. Lewanika should just endorse Mr. Mundubile without looking for a lame excuse and dragging the whole Barotseland into his endorsement.
When it comes to dreaming, you can always rely on Akashambatwa Mbikusita-Lewanika. Ask him to do the hard work of doing things brick-by-brick, he won’t be there for you. And how much time does he have left to continue doing that?
This is another bitter & envious soul. What a pity growing old in such a state.
What a Prince, is he even worth that title? The President has not wronged anyone in Barotseland, he just told the truth. Western Province is the tenth province of Zambia. So what is there to offend anyone there? And what apology can he give for telling the truth?
