Govt launches digital system to track and manage contracts
SECRETARY to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa has told civil servants not to politic during elections, reminding them of their responsibility to continue delivering services to citizens. Meanwhile, Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha says the launch of the Contract Tracking and Management Information System (CTMIS) will help address delays in contract approvals. The CTMIS, a digital platform developed by Smart Zambia in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, is aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency and accountability in the management and clearance of government contracts. It will enable clients to submit contracts for review and approval to the Attorney General’s Chambers digitally and allow them to track the progress of submitted contracts in real time.
