Russia Claims Its Weapons Can Overcome NATO Air Defenses in Ukraine
Russia’s Ministry of Defense says its precision-guided weapons are capable of defeating all Western-supplied air defense systems currently deployed in Ukraine.
According to the ministry, Ukraine has concentrated most of its air defense assets around Kyiv in an effort to shield the capital. Russia claims that despite these defenses, its latest strikes successfully hit targets in Kyiv as well as maritime ports and supply ships.
The ministry further asserted that the effectiveness of these attacks demonstrates Russia’s ability to strike targets across the entirety of Ukrainian territory.
Ukraine has not confirmed these claims, and independent verification of the reported effectiveness of the strikes was not immediately available.
