China Unveils Reported 100GW Anti-Satellite Microwave Weapon

BREAKING: China Unveils Reported 100GW Anti-Satellite Microwave Weapon

China has reportedly revealed details of a high-powered 100-gigawatt microwave weapon designed to target low-Earth orbit satellites, including networks such as Starlink.

According to reports, researchers from China’s National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) say the system was developed in Xi’an and uses advanced lithium-ion capacitor technology capable of operating in temperatures as low as -40°C. The reports claim the weapon has progressed beyond laboratory testing and has been delivered for military use.

If operational as described, the system could provide a relatively low-cost method of disrupting or damaging satellite constellations, raising concerns about the growing militarization of space.

The reported disclosure is being viewed by some analysts as a strategic signal to the United States amid intensifying competition in space and advanced military technologies. However, the reported capabilities have not been independently verified, and there has been no public confirmation from U.S. or NATO officials regarding the claims.
