U-17 girls to face Japan, France, Venezuela
THE Copper Princesses have been drawn in Group D alongside Japan, France and Venezuela for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. And FAZ has urged the technical bench to begin preparations immediately. The tournament lineup was completed with Zambia placed in a competitive group that features three-time champions Japan, who boast the most experience in the group with their seventh World Cup appearance. France, Venezuela and Zambia are all participating in their third edition. The Copper Princesses will renew their rivalry with Japan, having faced them in both the 2024 Dominican Republic tournament, where they lost 4-1, and the 2025 Morocco edition, falling 2-0.
