Zelensky to meet Canadian PM today ahead of expected talks with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with the Prime Minister of Canada on July 7, with discussions expected to focus on additional military assistance, financial support, and strengthening Ukraine’s air defense capabilities, including counter-drone systems.

Attention will then shift to July 8, when Zelensky is expected to meet U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the NATO summit.

The anticipated meeting is expected to address Ukraine’s request for additional Patriot air defense missiles, alongside broader discussions on a potential ceasefire framework and Trump’s proposed peace initiative.
