ERDOGAN: “OPPRESSED PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD ARE LOOKING TO TURKEY FOR HOPE AND SUPPORT”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has once again emphasized that communities facing hardship across the Muslim world are looking toward Türkiye for solidarity, assistance, and political support
Speaking during a public address, Erdoğan said Türkiye would continue to stand with people affected by conflicts, oppression, and humanitarian crises in different regions of the world.
“From Gaza to Lebanon, from Somalia and Syria to Arakan and Sudan, wherever there is an oppressed person, wherever there is someone crying with tears in their eyes and their head bowed down, we will continue to extend our hand and provide support,” Erdoğan said.
The Turkish leader added that cities across the region and beyond are watching Türkiye’s actions, stating:
“Today, Beirut, Damascus, Aleppo, Tripoli, and Sarajevo are looking toward us. The innocent children of Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem are looking toward us.”
Erdoğan also highlighted Türkiye’s historical and strategic role in regions stretching from the Middle East to the Balkans, the Caucasus, and Africa, saying that people facing injustice continue to place their hopes in Türkiye.
“From the Middle East to the Balkans, from the Caucasus to Africa, those who have been oppressed and those who have been treated unjustly are expecting hope from Türkiye,” he said.
The remarks reflect Ankara’s broader foreign policy approach, in which Türkiye seeks to present itself as a defender of humanitarian causes and a leading voice for Muslim communities affected by conflicts worldwide.
